Weissbräu, Straits Quay

First time taste on Germany food at Weissbräu, a great experience and i found my "lovely" salmon aww... so good!

Weissbräu, a German Bistro and Bar situated at Quay North of Straits Quay. The word Weissbräu is a combination of German word ‘Weiss’ for white and bräu for brew, which refers to
white brew or white beer (Most popular and common beer in Germany).

Went to Straits Quay quite numbers of time but never realise there's a German restaurant right there, might be because of the location i guess. It's at opposite side of light house, walk out from the doorway beside Cheeky Duck Asia Delight, you will see where Weissbräu is at the corner lot.

Mar & April - Miraku G-Hotel Hotate Promotion !!

Miraku located at the first floor of G-hotel. Went several times there, was in love with its greentea ice-cream during my first visit there. I must say Miraku has its very authentic serving of japanese food. Their customers are mostly japanese and the waiters there are all fluent in Japanese.

The coming months March & April 2011, they will be having delicious Hotate (Scallop) promotion. This is my first time seeing that lots of scallop in front of me. Hahaha, call me sampat!!!! Used to scallop scallop scallop for western cuisine most of the time. I'm so in love of japanese food but rarely taste on japanese cuisine of "Hotate". TAO's was my first! But compared with what i tried from here, i rather pay more for the better choices.

Vintage Bulgaria (Part I) - Overview

Here’s the 2nd food review invites sponsored by Round U Sdn Bhd - Vintage Bulgaria.

"Letter - Push !!" =D

Can you pronounce it correctly in Bulgarian?

Vintage Bulgaria was established in year 2008. It was owned by a Bulgarian family who living in Penang. Though the master chef is a Bulgarian, she trains the local chefs.

Now i know what does Bulgaria means. Yes, it's truly a country name =P
Bulgaria is one of the European country which next to Greece and Turkish.

That's what we ordered last year.

This is my 2nd visit here :D Was so excited when get to know that the next food review is here. My first visit was last year end, was falling love with its Spaghetti Bolognese at that time. Eventhough here's mainly Bulgarian food but not Italianese. Spaghetti Bolognese seems to be a very simple dish but surprisingly the chef was actually turned out the spaghetti into a very different way and indeed very delicious.

Evon in Bulgaria costume "Welcome to Vintage Bulgaria!! :) "

What’s actually Bulgaria’s food all about?

1) Mainly pork and beef (That’s the reason why I’m that lovin it, here goes my favourite pork)

2) Grilled and pan-fried (So called of less oily, healthy way of cook; rather than deep-fried)

3) Dry and cooked with spices (Here’s comes the quality of food and so into the taste of originality; rather than using onions, garlic, salt or even sugar)

4) Solid compare local food

Here are some of the interesting Bulgarian decoration :D

Bravo Italiana @ I-Avenue

This invited food review Bravo Italiana was organized by Round U Sdn Bhd. First time meeting those professional food bloggers were pleasantly surprised and such a wonderful experience for me. Felt so grateful to be one of the invited ones :) Specially thanks to Round U Sdn Bhd and Gourmetgarden.

Bravo Italiana was established on 3rd November 2008 and formally known as Little Kitchen at Bandar Sunway in mainland.

Once stepped into the restaurant, the overall impression gives you the feels that you are inside a classical Italian Museum. Also, the wall decoration increase the Italianish house atmosphere surrounding you.

These trophies in the cabinet are the awards won by Mr Lim previously from Cayman Islands, and it did attract me at the first sight. Furthermore, previous branch also been awarded first prize in the Food Hygiene Premises under the category of Air-Conditioned Restaurant.

As usual, the menu :)

Mr Lim – the only chef cum the owner. He has eight years of working experiences in Italy alone, not including the years working cruises in Florida and other countries. What amaze me more is that he alone able to handles the intense customers’ order from the kitchen and at the same time managing the restaurant to have running so well.

He is very humble in sharing his cooking experiences with us and how each dishes was perfectly cooked and served on the table.

Look at the delicious webbing chessy that formed while pulling out the yummy crispy piece of pizza with awesome topping!! Enough to make you mouthwatering!! =P
