BM Li Guang Popiah (Spring Roll)

Here's the BEST popiah (spring roll) i'd ate so far. Frankly, i rarely order popiah from outside as i'd tried a lot and i'm always assuming that my mum's popiah is the best in the world which nobody can fight against her. Until i tried this, i keep praising x100 and i told my mum about that.

They did sell Laksa too but i didn't try on it. The popiah just sell at RM1.00 per pieces ONLY. It's worth of money!!!! I'm sure you will miss them everyday after that... XD

It's yet so special as they put beansprouts in it which i never tried before. They put on the garlic oil as final touch to make it smells good and look nice though.

As there are limited seats, i can see most of them are take away.

The delicious ever BM Popiahhhhhh!!!

Watch the The Making of BM Popiah

It's located at the same cross junction and opposite Rojak Ah Hock which i'd blogged last week. It's the same coffee shop with Black and white Rojak.

BM Xie Hong Bak Kut Teh

Xie Hong serve the best Bak Kut Teh (BKT) in Bukit Mertajam. It's consider pretty good but still I prefer more to KL old klang road BKT :) Just it's too far for me..... It seems to be impossible if i purposely travel to KL to have BKT and drove back to Penang after that. Sounds crazy isn't it?
Kinda full as we just had our duck egg char koay. So here we just order one person serving for trying. It's already consider a very big portion for 4 of us at that moment.

Heavy taste of herbal soup with tao kua, 3 layer pork, meatball, pork ribs and etc

I like its You Cai (Oily Vege with bahu) very much!!! And it's perfect when we dip the You Char Koay with the BKT soup. So missed all of them. Now thinking of want to have BKT this weekend, anyone wanna join me?

Slurp!!! Nothing left includes the bone... haha!

It's open in the afternoon with economic rice and evening with BKT, located behind BM market - along the road with the famous Malay Char Koay Teow.

BM Tea Spa Hutan Rimba 森林茶坊 (Cherok Tok Kun)

The Tea Spa is located at Cherok Tokun. Cherok Tokun is actually a recreational forest where people enjoy the floral and fauna, jungle trekking, picnic and recreational activities. On the other hand, it's belongs to ur former deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's hometown. This area is kinda influencing especially during election period. So glad that my friend brought us to witness Anwar's house during our first visit to BM . Didn't manage to bump into him in person else where but still it's going to be a unforgetable experience.

The Waterfall

Let us have a cup of tea and relax..

Want to have a try on floral tea? It's NOT a must to go to Winter Warmers. You can try it here too and with much competitive price. Of course, the quality and environment wise do make the difference.

Chit-chatting while having a cup tea is the best relaxation of all

Herbal Tea Egg (cost RM1 for one) - This is awesome! Very fragrant and with heavy sensual aroma of herbal tea. It's so much different with Penang's. You will definately want another after you'd tried one.

Obviously this is belongs to 80's fan :D Long time haven't seen this kind of fan as nowsaday all have been improved with techology.

BM Tea Spa Hutan Rimba 森林茶坊 (Cherok Tok Kun)
@ Jalam Kolam
Business Hours: Morning until 7pm

Go along Jalan Kulim until St Anne Church, keep going straight until you saw a mosque on your right. Turn into a small path junction on your left indicated "Jalan Kolam". Walked until the end of the road and you will reach Tokun.

BM Rojak Orang Hock

Rojak Orang Hock is the first founded at Jalan Pasar BM. It's very famous with its special recipe sauce. They did produce their brand of "Rojak Ah Hock" sauce in box and selling off too.

The above portion selling off at RM5. The price divide into RM3, Rm4 and RM5. Sorry as I'm rarely eat rojak and not rojak fans. Thus, couldn't judge more as i'm not qualify to :P But as per my friend - a qualify rojak lover. This Orang Hitam 黑人啰喏's rojak is the best compared the other two in terms of quality and quantity wise. It's located in the Chiap Hong Coffee Shop (green building) opposite Bukit Mertajam Coffee Shop.

Rojak seems to be very competitive there. There are another two rojak stall at the area, imagine there are 3 stalls at the same cross junction. Anyhow, the interesting thing is the famous rojak started with Rojak Orang Hitam 黑人啰喏, follow by Rojak Orang Putih 白人啰喏 and Rojak Orang Hitam Putih 黑白人啰喏. Black, white, black and white, so which will you prefer to? :D Interesting isn't it? Suddenly those rojak refreshed me of Michael Jackson - Black or White. Hahahahaha! Never imagine that Rojak can be relate with MJ at all before this. (Sorry, no offence intended ya)

There is a VERY BEST Popiah in this coffee shop (same coffee shop with Rojak Orang Hitam Putih). Cherish..

BM Duck Egg Char Koay Teow

I'm sure lots of BM kia definately know about the well-knowned three brothers Char Koay Teow (CKT) in Bukit Mertajam. This is where my ex-roommate brought me to, the brother stall which next to the taxi station. Another two is along Jalan Kulim and nearby the BM railway station. Omg!! Listen up is duck egg! *call me sampat! :P* How rarely it can seen in Penang. Hmm, i didn't try any so far in Penang. If you do, appreaciate if you can recommend me to =) I like non other than the fabulous duck egg, really different with the ordinary chicken egg. It's fragrant and feel differently in every bite.

Okay, forgot about the duck egg, let us talk about the CKT. Frankly, it taste good especially fried using charcoal but it's too oily for me. I guess the price of cooking oil is decreasing nowsadays. :P I still prefer the Uncle's CKT at Siam Road in Penang. Healthy or On-diet person should think twice before try on this. You will gain lots of fats with the hundreds of calories from its oil and lards. However, it's too tasty enough to pull you back from trying. Who cares? Hahaha!

Oh ya, another concern is it's self-service. You've to work before you get to eat. You've to touch in the dark to enjoy your CKT. Basically you won't get to see your CKT on the table or i can conclude as you can't see what you eat but only can taste it. How romantic..... Just sometimes, you can imagine yourself, "I See You, CKT " *quote Avatar* - Freeze Cold-

Each of us side up one duck egg cost 70 cents. I don't know how's the price now, but the time i went was RM2.50 for normal and RM3.00 for big.

Really wish to try another two brothers' CKT and compare among them. Let's see when's my next visit to BM again. Miss........
