Mixed Clan Jetty Weld Quay is one of the trademark of Penang Heritage. There are lots of stories behind each of the surname jetty where all similar surname communities staying together. Even there's a jetty called as mixed surname. Glad that at least some of the cultural heritage area are still well maintain and not affected by the urbanization.
Tan Jetty always been the best scene for wedding photo shooting. No doubt this is a beautiful place and i love it!! See the above photo, isn't it nice? capturing the eye-catching scenery! Love the only scenery shot of mine on that day very much. The place which you cannot be missed especially if you're not from Penang.
Truly that's where Penang belongs to..... the beautiful pearl island.
Am addicted to grandma's genetic non-stop of story telling time. Hahaha! Let me back to the topic. Tan Jetty Thai Food is located at the end of Tan Jetty and it's operating by a Thai's family. I never knows that there's a restaurant there until last month my friends finally brought me there.
This is my second visit here in March.
The seafoods are fine and chili soup is great!
Prefer the soup thicker, slightly dilute for me.
This even more dilute, very sour! Not suit to my taste.
Tender glass noodle cooked with soy sauce and black pepper seeds.
The aroma of the seeds makes the paste smells good!
I never like glass noodle before in my life or even sometimes rejected. But now this stall's ad became my favourite. Like this serving of glass noodle very much.
Last time tried the Crab's; this time try the Prawn's; both has their specialty.
Its glass noodle is just my main concern :)
*Love Love Love*
Otak Seafood
God!! Everything here is all about seafood even otak-otak is. A real everthing fried and seafood bonanza. This is not similar with the usual otak-otak which meaty fish cooked with tumeric.
However, there are squids and cabbages stuffed together with the otak-otak.
Otak-otak is always my favourite but i personally thinked that cabbage is too weird to match with otak-otak. Inversely, the combination of toasted bread and otak-otak are the fabulous one!!
Looks like pataya rice isn't it?
Omelette wrapped minced meat, squids and vegetables.
This is unique and delicious!! Try this too..
Deep Fried Squids
Surprisingly the squids are not chewy but very crunchy!!
I guess they did cut into the extra thin slieces and then only fried it/
This is good!!
Crunchy pieces! Each of them has different crunch in every bites.
I like kales more!
So called belacan chicken
More to normal fried chicken as I coudn't smell any strong fragrance of belacan.
Another must try is its chicken wing, what so special about chicken wing?
Not sure how they did that? The chicken wings are stuffed with seafoods in it.
Very unique!!
Woohooo, the family photo after enjoying the delicious thai's bonanza! :D
A nice place for gathering especially at night.
Enjoying and relaxing with the sea breeze.
Very heaty in the afternoon.
