We went to Hei Yeong Seng for our Chinese New Year family reunion dinner last month. It seems to be kinda late to blog for now :P but late better than none right? Haha! Normally Chinese will order 8 course meal for CNY. However, we chose to order some dishes served with steamed rice as there're only 6 of us.
Hei Yeong Seng is a new opening chinese cuisine restaurant which located at 2nd Floor Penang Plaza (usually called as FIMA years ago, same building as GIANT). As we passed by that road, we can see how crowded the restaurant is through the extensive transparent glass. Another new chinese restaurant to try it out.

Sour and Spicy Curry Red Tilapia
This time we decided to try something different rather than steam fish. The fish is fresh and firm, just the curry gravy was slightly diluted. Would like to suggest you order the steam fish instead as you can taste the freshness and the original taste of the fish purely with soy sauce.

Not bad!!
Salad Prawn
Supposingly this is Salad Prawn which used to be my all time favourite. However, it turned me down. Seems like two separate dish for me - 1) deep fried prawn topped with mayonaise
2) fruit salad. I don't like this though, suddenly makes me miss Starview's so much.
Pork Ribs (Pai Kut Wong)
This is one of their signature dish. Pleasant.
Overally, moderate food but the service was really bad. Took few minutes to get you a fork or even an hour for the dishes. Lots of customers is not an excuse of providing bad service.
Total bill costs 6 of us RM170+ including CNY Lou Sang which cost about RM40 per set. I assuming this is quite pricey with these quality of food comparing with other competitive chinese restaurants. The price range is between TianYi and Starview.
